Mrs. Yurdagül Őzsavaşçı was born in Beysehir/ Konya in 1952. Currently, a retiree as a social services specialist. She was acquainted with classical Turkish artwork of ornament (Calligraphy, Marbling, Illumination, Art of Carving or Engraving of Thin Paper) in the embroidery house of Ord. Prof. Suheyl Unuver 30 years ago, as a hobby. Due to her belief in reaching the universal by keeping alive traditional artworks and combining the historical values with modern approaches, she decided to be a professional and attended the courses of Prof. Unuver for a period. Thereafter, took courses from master of Tezhip (the art of carving or engraving of thin paper) Hulya Erdem, miniaturists Gursoy Ugurlu, Ozcan Ozcan, in Cafer Aga Madrasah. She was taught by Fuat Basar in the subject of Traditional Art of Ebru (Marbling Art).
In 2000, Mrs. Őzsavaşçı established the Niyas Artwork Group with Hulya Erdem. She attended various mixed exhibition in abroad and opened exhibitions in the cities of Istanbul, Konya, Kayseri, Ankara, Ankara- Kecioren, Adiyaman, Gaziantep and Bursa in Turkey. Regularly, participating to the Gol Festival of Beysehir every year. Also, she gives private courses and lesson in relation with the classical Turkish artwork of ornament.
She is the incorporator and the art consultant of Istanbul Traditional Artwork and Art House and a member of art commission of Konya Nejat Altan Tufan Art Gallery.
Married with two children and grandmother of Emirhan and Mehtap Sultan.
